Maya Elzein “Elz” Davis

Maya Elzein “Elz” Davis, the Co-Founder, Executive Vice Chairwoman, President and Chief Ecosystem Strategy Officer of Labs Companies, Inc., is responsible for the company’s ecosystem — how its labs, products and partners connect and compound. She co-created the Yuhmmy App and is the second-largest controlling shareholder of Labs, formerly LavLabs, the frontier intelligences supercompany building human-enhancement technologies.

At Labs she drives strategic growth and ecosystem development, and leads research across AI, large models and Omnology — the discipline she practises as an omnologist — with a focus on building new industry ecosystems rather than single products.

Before Labs, Maya managed technological transformation programmes across United States federal agencies through her company PowerBridge, later folded into her asset management conglomerate, Maya Industries Group. A computer scientist by training, she began working in private equity and debt funding in her early teens. In 2021 she co-founded MDFG Inc., a 50/50 multi-layer financial services holding company, with her husband Duránd F. Davis Jr.

As Co-Funder and Managing General Partner of Family of Firms, M&D Ventures, Elz Ventures, Davis&Davis Venture Partners and Madu Partners, she invests in entrepreneurial talent worldwide. The family’s financial, scientific and philanthropic work is anchored by the Sivad Estate Trust, the Sivad Wealth Investment Treasury, the Sivad Science Initiative and the Sivad Family Foundation.

Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Maryland, Maya is American-born Sudanese-Hungarian. Known creatively as Elz and CHEF ELZ, she is a professional chef, sketch artist and fashion designer, and channels that work into product design at Labs. With Duránd and their nine children she advocates fluid vegan diets and holistic wellness.
