We didn't set out to build a typical tech company.
We set out to build a company for humanity — and we mean that in the most personal way.

As partners in life and work, raising nine children together, we understand the stakes of the future we're helping shape. The world they'll inherit depends on what we choose to build now. So we created Labs to be the kind of company our kids — and yours — can be proud of. A company grounded in emotion, not just code. A company that feels.

Between us, we bring a lifetime steeped in the creative arts. Maya, born in D.C. and raised in Maryland, is a chef, fashion designer, and product creator. Duránd, born in Chicago and raised in Detroit, is a musician and professional DJ. We are both graphic designers, coders, and builders — obsessed with the intersection of design, culture, and technology. These aren't side pursuits. They're how we've always served people. How we've told stories. How we've shaped experiences.

In a world approaching the singularity, we believe creativity is not a luxury — it's an imperative. The arts teach us to feel, to connect, to imagine. And imagination is the root of all intelligence.

Labs isn't a single product. It's a family of labs — each focused on expanding what's possible in AI, immersive realities, digital economies, and the experiences that shape life itself. We're designing not just tools, but futures. And always through a deeply human lens.
