Life at Labs — Join the Tube

Every Laber joins for a different reason. Almost every Laber stays for the same one: nowhere else on Earth can you work this close to the frontier of intelligence itself — and be trusted to shape it.

Labs is 1 Supercompany, 7 Frontier Labs. That is not a tagline; it is an operating model. We are building the Frontier Intelligences — seven distinct kinds of intelligences, each pushing a different edge of what is possible — and the people who build them are the whole story. This is what it is like to join the Tube.

The 7 Frontier

Most companies chase one kind of intelligence. We are building seven, in parallel, as one company — the 7 Frontier Labs, our Core labs, and the seven most integral to Labs as an AI company. Lab1, Labsintelligence, is the primary; the other six are AI-first across different sectors, industries, and segments:

  • Superintelligence — Labsintelligence. The reasoning core: LABA, LabsAI, LabsML, LabsRSI, LabsRL, LabsIQ, LaLaMo, LaMimo and LaSaMo. Systems that learn, reason, and increasingly improve themselves.
  • Spatial Intelligence — Labs Realities. AR, VR, MR, RR and 3D capture — intelligence that understands and renders the physical world.
  • Distributed Intelligence — Labs Blocks. Coordination without a center: the fabric that lets intelligence run everywhere at once.
  • Financial Intelligence — Labs Crypto. Value that thinks — programmable, verifiable, and open.
  • Scientific Intelligence — LabsX. Quantum, nano, and DNA compute — intelligence at the substrate of matter itself.
  • Experiential Intelligence — LavLabs. Where the frontier meets human delight — taste, culture, and the products people actually love.
  • Physical Intelligence — Labsintuition. Hardware and the senses: intelligence that touches, tastes, moves, and feels.

Each is a frontier. Together they are the frontier. A Laber's work is never confined to one — the Frontier Intelligences are designed to compound. A breakthrough in Scientific Intelligence changes what Superintelligence can compute. A leap in Physical Intelligence gives Spatial Intelligence new senses. You will feel that compounding in your first month.

7 Frontier, 19 Frontier Intelligences

Said in full, it reads: 1 Supercompany, 7 Frontier Labs — 19 Frontier Intelligences. The seven above are the Core — the Frontier Labs most integral to Labs as an AI company, with Labsintelligence at the center. Beyond the Core, the ecosystem widens across the Cluster, the Corridor, and Care — until, all told, there are nineteen: 19 Frontier Intelligences, one for each lab within Labs.

We did not coin frontier intelligence — but we did make it plural, the Frontier Intelligences, which is why we own FrontierIntelligences.com. The idea was inspired by Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences: that intelligence is not one thing but many. At Labs, that becomes an operating model — many intelligences, one company.

Why "the Tube"

Our emblem is a test tube for a reason. Labs is a place of experiments — disciplined, ambitious, and unafraid of the ones that fail. To "join the Tube" is to accept a simple deal: bring your most frontier idea, and we will give you the people, the compute, and the trust to run it. In return, we ask that you test it honestly. The best Labers are not the ones who are always right; they are the ones who find out fastest.

The work spans everything

Frontier Intelligences are not built by researchers alone. They are built by 33 Areas of Work — and every one of them touches the frontier. The engineer training a recursive self-improving model and the storyteller explaining it to the world are working on the same thing: making frontier intelligence real, safe, and worth having.

You could be writing the reinforcement-learning loop inside Labsintelligence, or the spatial pipeline inside Labs Realities. You could be designing a multisensory interface, shaping a product, growing an audience, protecting a user, structuring a fund, drafting the policy that keeps frontier AI accountable, or running a Labs Foundations program that puts these tools in the hands of people who need them most. Design and UX. Product, Growth, and Brand. Privacy, Security, Safety and Trust. Legal, Finance, and Ventures. People and Talent. Storytelling and Sharing. Human Care. Students, Grads and Interns through Labs University, Labs Academy and Labs Institute. The frontier needs all of it.

Labers, Laberlaggers and Labergents

The people of Labs are Labers — and every Laber starts as a Laberlagger, a Laber in the making, during a first 90 days built for learning the Tube rather than proving yourself in it.

Labers do not build the Frontier Intelligences alone. They build them alongside Labergents — the AI agents that work as part of the team. The collaboration between the two — human and agent, judgment and speed — is what we call Labergentic work. It is how a company this size builds at this scale, and it is a genuinely new way to work.

Laberlife

We call the day-to-day Laberlife, and it runs on the WETO Culture — four commitments we hold each other to:

  • Be Wonderful. Treat people — teammates and users — with sincerity and care.
  • Be Exciting. Do work that makes the frontier feel close enough to touch.
  • Be Testable. Have the courage to be measured, and the honesty to report what you find.

Put together, it is The WETO Way: WE'Re TOgether. A Supercompany only works if seven frontiers move as one, and that only happens when the culture is deliberate. Ours is.

Who thrives here

We look for three things, and we named them after ourselves — LABS:

  • Thrivers — our virtues: Listening, Awareness, Belonging, Solidarity. People who make Labs a place worth belonging to.
  • Igniters — the impression we leave: Learning, Attracting, Boosting, Shaping. People who make everyone around them better.

Running through all of it is Chemí — the spirit of the house: Curiosity, Harmony, Empowerment, Momentum, Innovation. Chemí is how everyone here maintains integrity while chasing the frontier at full speed.
